Hello Kitties...the cat without a mouth

Muahahaha....Week 3 of Hello Kitty had arrived in the McDonald outlets and this got me excited to get them with Happy Meals. I'm not that a big fan but thought the packaging was very cute. In fact, there were many OL (office ladies) that queued to buy them (heard this from SL when he bought one). I gave a miss for the toys issued in Week 2 coz those were the movable bits and I'm not too keen of those.

Week 3's toys were mirrors and lights. I've got myself a black version of the mirror series simply because Hello Kitty does not issue anything that's black till recently and Sanrio had launched a darker version of Kitty wearing black. The other two were from the light series and had forced SL to wear Happy Meals with me on Thursday. How so very 'thoughtful' of me! Anyway, the other two were pictures of an angel and McDonald crew. Heard from the staff that these items that I had chosen were 'hot favourites'. Well, I dont really collect all of them but thoses that I like.

Here is my other additions to my collection.
PS : On a serious note, there are 36 to collect and there is no way that I'm going to eat McDonalds to collect them all coz of health and monetary reasons. Sigh!

Week 1 : Hello Kitty no more?

Went around several McDonald's in search for the rest of the collection for week 1. To my horror but SL's delight, there were sold out in 3 outlets. Well, will continue my search for them. Wish me luck!

Life's simplest pleasures

Life's simplest pleasures can be anything.

SL and I had a really late dinner at Wisma's foodcourt on Friday evening after a 'long' search for another top to replace the white top coz he thought that it was too auntie looking. (For the white top, had taken off all the embellishments shortly after I reached home that very night after SL's comments. He often joked about my auntie fashion sense.) Of course, the search was unsuccessful though saw a tonga dress at Dorthy Perkins. Looked pretty but I have large arms and prefer to cover them rather than exposing them. Dinner was relatively inexpensive but was a nice one though coz we had a good chat.

My outfit was a bit blanc and noir in between. (White top sans the embellishments : Lucky Plaza/Black jeans : Queensway Shopping Centre/ Bag : Gucci/ Pair with black shoes).

Saturday's evening was spent at Ice Cold coz SL invited me for a date. Beer and chicken wings are the best combination in a pub. Met a couple of galfriends who happened to be at the same place. So glad to meet them. However, I didnt wanna stay there for too long and wanna dinner/ supper coz I've not taken my lunch and dinner. The ensemble was simply noir and the adidas bag was bought in one of shops in Toa Payoh. Relatively cheap and love it coz it's furry. I also wanna to match the 'sporty' theme that we had for that day.
Here was my outfit (Black Top: Hynopsis/Black jeans : Queensway Shopping Centre/ Bag : Adidas - Respect Me/ Pair with black shoes/ Rings : H&M; Perlini's Silver). Accessories for both days were kept to the minimal (less is more mantra) by wearing a different ring for both days. Make-up was done with my latest fake eyelashes obssession.

Ended up at the nearby McDonald's. Was pleasantly surprised that the Happy Meal toy given was Hello Kitty. McDonalds has collaborated with Hello Kitty for their 35th Anniversary and there will be different toys given over these 4 weeks when purchased a Happy Meal. All toys have a stated year and there are 36 toys to choose from. Hence, each one is unique with the year stated in the packaging. This could mean that I will be broke and grow fat if I purchase all the toys given in 4 weeks. These toys are too cute to resist and here is the picture for you to judge.

Had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Cheers!

More Toys...

I'm not too much of a girly girl but I do like toys. Recently, I have just developed a liking of Bearbricks. Yes, I've been spending money for my wants and not necessities.

Met up with SL at Daiso to exchange some of the stuff such as a file and rollers that I had bought on Sunday. After the exchange, we proceed for a quick dinner coz it's the start of the week and SL was required to run an errand.

Before we left, SL bought 3 Bearbricks of Series 18 from Action City and it costed approx SGD 25. Is aint cheap. Here is the picture of the Bearbricks from the famous characters such as SpongeBob Squarepants, Terminator and Hello Kitty.

Shop cheap....

As suggested by JC, I decide to do this segment as many of us would like to scout for items that are easy for our pockets. As for me, I'm trying very hard to be more creative in terms of my spending.
One of the places that I like to patronise and source my wares is Daiso coz everything costs SGD 2. To me, this is my haven for my buys and feel like a kid in a candy shop. But I really need to restrict myself to buy more coz it could lead to impulsive buying. SL is always around to 'monitor' my buying habits.

You can practically buy almost everything from this famous retail chain. It is also a place where you cant have second thoughts of buying the item(s) that you have desired. Coz the shipments are irregular and some of the products are not replenished weekly. There were times when I contemplated to buy certain items and these were gone when I went back on the next day.

I saw some 'princess' combs ('blinged' with crystals) were sold in some stores in Far East Plaza at a relatively high mark-up. A closer look, it resembled the same comb that I've purchased from a famous retail chain (sans the crystals)

I do have those combs and these comes in various sizes. Apart from combs, I'm obsessed with hand-held mirrors such as Kitty without a mouth versions and those that have the shape of a flower. If you could see, these items are still in their plastics coz I'm gonna keep them rather than to use it.
BTW, these are bought at a relative cheap price each and from different branches located in Singapore. Have yet to visit all of them that are dotted round the island. It seems unbelievable but it's true. Some of these items are sold more than that in other stores. During this trying, what we need to do is to do some homework as well as compare prices in order to get a good deal.

Happy Shopping!
PS : If you have any other shopping haunts, please share! Would love to hear from you. Cheerios!
