Hauls from Local Brand ~ Part 2

There were a number of sales in the first quarter of the year. Being a budget shopper, I didnt miss these opportunities to buy more basics.

I was surprised that I could wear the clothes of these local brands. My perceptions of these brands only catered for the slim and skinny. It didnt come across to my mind that I could wear their stuff as my preference is geared towards European sizes.
'Sales' is the main attraction to these local brands and the retail price of each piece costed less than SGD 20.
Here are my loots from local brands such as BYSI and Mphosis. These include two dresses and a top.

Both the black dress as well as top were from the same series and were heavily discounted. Yup, the picture cant really reflect the length difference.
The other dress was also heavily discounted, too and I loved the combination of different materials. Had been eyeing on that dress when it was on sale. However, I didnt have the courage to try thinking that I was too big for it.
Finally, I decided to summon my courage to try the dress. To my astonishment, I could wear this and decided to buy it. The SA went to the store and got me a new piece that I could purchase. Sweet!
Top and bottom picture (Black Dress and Black Top : Mphosis / Dress : BYSI)
I've decided to use the following ingredients to transform from office to drinks after work:
(Dress : BYSI / Bib Necklace : Bib Quirky Accessories / Belt : Flea Market / Clutch : Aldo Accessories / Shoes : Bianca)
Will blog about my Bianca shoes another day.
Wishing all Happy Holidays!

Paranoid of technology

The whole e-commerce thingy is ever so thriving than before, thanks to the ailing economy. I do noticed that some of online seller do feature excellent quality yet value for money items. However, I do not wish to be in any part of this or even a participant in the very near future.

Others may think that I'm dated in terms of my thinking after reading this. Well, you are entitled to your very own opinion.

As for me, I still enjoying going to the brick and mortar stores to view as well as touch the exact article and making sure that 'what I see is exactly what I get'. This is important for me when it comes to clothing coz the cut and shape matter. Though there has been no cheating cases happening to me, I did get a call on a case on an fraud issue using my credit card details recently. Can you imagine the bills that I may have to pay and the great deal of inconveniences caused should the fraudster had succeed?

Anyway, the task of buying online was on SL who had bid 2 items for me successfully and one of the clutches was a vintage Gucci. It was relatively cheap compared to the market and I do have a maximum amount that I would bid for. I have yet to check the status in the case of genuine of this clutch as it was a gift SL. Though I've checked and research on the net on that clutch, it is the exact same model and the format of the serial numbers are similar to those manufactured during that period. Still, there is a nagging fear that it might turn out to be an imitation and didnt not even dare to check with a Gucci store.

After all, I would rather not know about the status at all. Call me a coward but Gucci is one of those traditional brands that have 'flattered' by the inspired and there are so many fakes on the net. Besides, there are times when the ratings are the seller may be inflated, too. There are also cases where the seller fled after receiving the money as well as when the buyers discover that they have bought the fakes after paying 'big money' for them. These are the sufficient reasons to tarnish the reputation of reliable sellers out there.

Yes, I know that I can get cheaper rates when purchasing items there or the variety of products made available. At the end of the day, those reasons are not enough to convince or convert me into an online buyer. I would rather pool my money with my frens who have online purchasing accounts or some purchasing forms recommended by frens are my forms of security to myself.

As long as the e-commerce's security is threatening, surfing online for viewing pleasures rather than to purchase item online will be my mantra. Period.

Call me dated, I dont mind a single bit! Welcome to the 'real' online world!

I heart <3 Clutches

Collecting clutches is part of my bag quest. Didnt keep count except I do know that I have a luggage full of these.

GSS (Great Singapore Sale) comes early this year to boast the economy and there are some attractive bargains around.

Happened to pass by Aldo Accessories Raffles City on Monday while meeting up with SL for our weekly weekday dinner. What attracted me was this clutch was the croc-skin design. Saw this clutch before and felt that it was expensive. I'll have to set aside $85 for it and this clutch was shown in Her World (April) under this column 'Great Buys Under $100'.

When I peeked into the clutch, the discounted price was $59.50 and the SA mentioned that they were having 'Buy 2 for the price of 1' sale. This was sentence that scored a sale from me. Knowing my gf wants this bag helps as each of us will pay $30 approx. I think this is cheap from Aldo and these are the last 2 units from that store (the displayed and 1 new unit). The offer of this clutch was not on the other stores (she had checked in other outlets ~ none was left).
This clutch is roomy and trendy. My gf is demostrating of putting her book into this clutch.
As for me, I'm trying to figure the type of clothes to match my new black clutch.
Planning away..... :)
