My Insane Inspired Bags Obssession

(Top left : shop from Far East Plaza, Top right : Southaven, Bottom : shop from Bugis)

Here are some of my inspired bags collection and it's the tip of my bag mountain. Bought these from different shops at different times. These were bought at relatively reasonably price ranging from SGD 20 - SGD 40. Of course, these are of different sizes except for the bottom 2 were bought from the same shop. However, I have yet to use the small and white bags. Like the bag from Southaven but didnt try to use it to carry heavy stuff. Kinda regret buying the white bag coz of the fear of light transfers especially if I'm wearing dark denims. At this moment, these bags would satisfy my cravings and looking forward to own a 2.55. Care to share your stash of inspired bags?

Le Sportsac 35th Anniversary and a couple of auntie incidents

Saw these in Kino and got it. But it aint cheap. Each costing at SGD 22.40 and still I wanna get them. Le Sportsac launched 3 sling bags but the Beauty Lady version was the one that I couldnt get. Sad and would like to appeal to anybody (who has an extra bag of this print) to sell it to me. I've checked on the conversion rate if I had ordered from Japan, it would cost me an additional of SGD 10 - 20 (approx). Argh! BTW, The polka-dot version was stained and needed to be exchanged. Sigh!

The following incidents would make SL to describe me as an auntie behaviours and actions.

Was involved in a project and the meeting area was in Toa Payoh. Didnt realise that there were many cheap buys at the square. Went past a watch store and the intention to look only. Saw a flower-printed watch. Looked cute but it would pose difficulties to match my clothings.

Bought a couple of cheap watches for SGD 2.80 each. How to resist? Sigh...Ended up with a red watch but went back to get the big face watch as well. When I was buying the big face watch, there was an auntie commented that she would like to buy the same watch and grabbed the box. Thank goodness the SA was holding my watch tightly.

Then I saw bags that were manufactured under the brand Prosports that used Le Sportsac's print. The bags were sold at SGD 5 and upwards. Saw a couple of bags there. In the beginning, I saw an auntie who just took girlish looking bags. Till the same auntie noticed the bags that I've grabbed. She followed and she wanted those bags that were sealed in plastic bags.

Can you imagine whatever I could get my hands on she would glare and stare hard at those items? Talk about competition.

However, I didnt buy any at all coz I wouldnt think that I could carry a bag that was labelled as Prosports (I think, couldnt remember) unless it was brandless. Frankly, the brand Prosports was very obvious and the whole world knows that this is an inspired. No, I'm no snob but I really unsure about the quality coz those bags that I've from Le Sportsac are able to withstand weight.

Was pleased with myself coz I didnt give in to temptation to buy those bags.

Feeling lazy ~ sling bags is the best

Had been sick and battling with both flu as well as cough. Hence, not exactly in the right frame of mind to blog for the past few days.

Recently, have trying to maximise the usage by 'thinking out of the box' coz I'm running out of monetary resources. Found 2 sling bags to use.

The first bag (B) was a hand-me-down from my auntie and the other was from a defunct brand 'Fomulas'. Had queued early in the morning to exchange one of my old bags for this. Loved the sizes of both bags as well as the adjustable stripes. Can totally matched almost anything and it's hands-free.

Perhaps, there are some items that you havent been using and it's time that some of these items get to see the sunlight again.

One of my fav pairing coz it's simple.

More bags

I've featured this bag in one of my previous entry. One of my ex-colleague brought this bag (hers was red) to work and I thought it was nice. It was one of the instances when I didnt have any intention to ask her where she got it. I decided to source for and found it in a shop cart in Raffles City. Decided to buy the black version for easy match of my clothings. I like the simplicity of the design and it has the quilted inspired design of the famous brand of C. There are 2 version of slings. One short and the other is a longer version. Honestly, I cant remember how much it cost and probably range from SGD 50 - 70.

Doctor's bag is on my list of bags simply because of its design. However, the bag that I bought was a different version of the doctor's bag. Bought it because it is black and the cost is approximate SGD 50 - 70. Thought it was a reasonable price coz I was still able to afford small luxuries though my ex-colleague didnt think so.

Yup, I know this entry is not exact cheap buys. Do like these bags coz there are no screaming tags on the bag. Call me a jealous freak but some famous brands simply have screaming brands running across the bag. It's kinda of a turn-off and it's also a tell-tale sign that it's seasonal. To me, it's not exactly what I'm looking for even though some of these brands I do love to own.

BTW, these bags can be found in the shopping cart in Raffles City as well as a shop in Far East Plaza. These are from Gracious Aires.

Right now, I'll continue my search for bags.

Attractions (New)

Had been busy with stuff and didnt have the time to blog. Over the weekend, there was some space available to blog.

Here is my collection of accessories that make my fashion statement.

To me, apparels is not the only way to express my opinion in fashion. Bags, accessories and shoes are a sure way for self expression.

I have always luv bags with a twist to their pictures coz it represents me to the world. Like this piece and I do have the same design in a tote as well. Absolutely love it and have a lovely purse to accompany this bag. Here are the pictures.

Accessories are a great way to change looks even though your wardrobe maynt be full of designer clothes like those of Carrie's (Sex and The City). Here are some of my rings (a portion of my collection). I cant remember where I got them from. I did remembered that the black ring was from H&M (HK) and was bought in the fit of anger. The only accessory that I've bought throughout the trip apart from bag, sweater and jacket.

One of the accessories that I would like to have is this. A portable Chanel Make-up kit in my handbag shown in Fifth Element. I waaaaaannnnnnnnnaaaaaaaa this! Oh goodness, I'll be overjoyed if this really do appear. Having this will definitely save time and willnt be late for my appointments. Looking picture perfect all day whole day. Different looks at different parts of the day. One click that all it takes. Great innovation. We are quite close to sci-fri as ColorOn Professional has instant make-up at this moment. Check it out! Luv the idea but if this can be done for the whole face, it'll be a hot seller.
People in Chanel ~ if you are reading this, please invent one like this and not just a prop for a sci-fri movie.
Happy 'accessorising' everyone!

Kawaii!

When I first saw Tokidoki Le Sportsac bag (their very first collaboration) in a duty-free shop, I fell in luv with it instantly. So kawaii! My mind told me that I've got to have it. Thank goodness, my gf was there and she had a discount card. Of course, I bought it under SGD 300( though it's expensive) and was overjoyed. At that time, it was not as popular as now.

Fast forward to present, it came so popular that there are various copies emerging in any bag shapes, sizes and patterns. BTW, this pattern wass 1st gen. This bag didnt see the daylight after copies appeared. I couldnt take this bag anymore as others might think that this is a fake. The current location of this bag is in my wardrobe. Thanks to the 'imitation is the ultimate flattery' that's being showered to this collaboration... argh!

After this bag, I did not buy any bags from this collaboration anymore. Thanks to gf's advice by dissuading me to buy the rest of the collection. It was a right move!

Went down to Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008 to catch a glimpse of the creator. I couldnt even get close enough coz it was so crowded and got ridiculous. It was extremely crowded at the booth on the last day. Of course, the SA would capitalised on that situation since all Tokidoki fans would be keen to have his autograph. In order to get his autograph, I would have to purchase a pair of figurines for SGD 150 (approx). According to the SA, it was not the case for the first 2 days. In the end, I didnt bother to buy the figurine as well as getting his autograph. Yucks!

Then SL wanted to purchase a pair of Tokidoki + Onisuka Tiger shoes. Unfortunately, the pair that I wanted was unavailable. Sad but that's ok and had to moved on to distract myself.

Yes, the characters are cute. However, it gets a bit of overkill as it becomes too popular with copies appearing at every corner. Recently, I received a carrier with the trademark kawaii characters as a pressie.

Yes, in fact it's a copy and I'm not taking it!
