06.08.09 ~ Hails from KL

The Le Sportsac 35th Anniversary ~ Beauty Girl was sold out in Singapore and really wanna get a piece of it. When I heard of it, it was too late and this print was a Japan exclusive. Hence, the print was popular and mags were sold out in Kinos SG. Called Kino SG, they mentioned that they wouldnt be ordering as their second shipment had arrived already. The remaining stocks were left with the polka dots and stripes version.

Decided tried to check with Amazon Japan and it was relatively expensive. IMHO, I didnt understand the order form coz it's Japanese and even if it was translated in English, it still seemed too complicated. There was a seller who sold this mag AT USD 29.99 in ebay. How to bid for the item when it was even more expensive after currency conversion?

Tried to source for the mag & bag from other source. Managed to see a Malaysian blog at a stroke luck that mentioned that about the bag. Couldnt remember much details except that I remembered writing in to Kino KL branch for enquiry of the bag.

Kino KL managed to get a copy for me and would courier it over to SG. There were hiccups along the way and I managed to get it at my doorstep today. Hooray!
On the other hand, I'm worried about the charges upon currency conversion would be on a high side. Just had to wait for the end of the month. I hope that the price of the magazine would still be relatively cheaper as compared to those of Amazon Japan.

Here are pictures of parcel and some freebies were thrown in by Kino KL.

PS : The Kino KL team was extremely patient and understanding throughout the whole process.

Le Sportsac 35th Anniversary and a couple of auntie incidents

Saw these in Kino and got it. But it aint cheap. Each costing at SGD 22.40 and still I wanna get them. Le Sportsac launched 3 sling bags but the Beauty Lady version was the one that I couldnt get. Sad and would like to appeal to anybody (who has an extra bag of this print) to sell it to me. I've checked on the conversion rate if I had ordered from Japan, it would cost me an additional of SGD 10 - 20 (approx). Argh! BTW, The polka-dot version was stained and needed to be exchanged. Sigh!

The following incidents would make SL to describe me as an auntie behaviours and actions.

Was involved in a project and the meeting area was in Toa Payoh. Didnt realise that there were many cheap buys at the square. Went past a watch store and the intention to look only. Saw a flower-printed watch. Looked cute but it would pose difficulties to match my clothings.

Bought a couple of cheap watches for SGD 2.80 each. How to resist? Sigh...Ended up with a red watch but went back to get the big face watch as well. When I was buying the big face watch, there was an auntie commented that she would like to buy the same watch and grabbed the box. Thank goodness the SA was holding my watch tightly.

Then I saw bags that were manufactured under the brand Prosports that used Le Sportsac's print. The bags were sold at SGD 5 and upwards. Saw a couple of bags there. In the beginning, I saw an auntie who just took girlish looking bags. Till the same auntie noticed the bags that I've grabbed. She followed and she wanted those bags that were sealed in plastic bags.

Can you imagine whatever I could get my hands on she would glare and stare hard at those items? Talk about competition.

However, I didnt buy any at all coz I wouldnt think that I could carry a bag that was labelled as Prosports (I think, couldnt remember) unless it was brandless. Frankly, the brand Prosports was very obvious and the whole world knows that this is an inspired. No, I'm no snob but I really unsure about the quality coz those bags that I've from Le Sportsac are able to withstand weight.

Was pleased with myself coz I didnt give in to temptation to buy those bags.

Bags Obssessions

I'm not afraid to say that I'm a bag whore. Most of my frens will reckon that. The next brand that I heart requires no introduction. It's none other than Le Sportsac.

The light weight material is a huge attraction to me and I've own a couple of bags in different shapes and sizes. One of them was from the Tokidoki series that I've blogged earlier. Just simply love it. BTW, HK does sell these bags cheaper but the collections are from past seasons (if you do not mind the designs). So far, these designs are the ones that I love as some of these are given by my bessies. They do know my style and taste.

I'm not keen to post my bags here (only this pouch) coz there are copies of these brands and these are found anywhere and everywhere. All thanks to the cheaper resources that can be found in one of the latest WTO members. No, thanks to copies of this brand!
