070809 ~ National Day Weekend

Ok, I know this entry was long overdue coz the outing was during the SG National Day weekend. SL and I went out on his day off on that Friday before the long National Day weekend. Yah! Decided to dress casual but really didnt know what to wear coz it was summer heat.

Below was my outfit for the day and decided to wear a black singlet coz the printed top was short. I was perspiring and the hot weather was not ideal for layering. Hence, I would like to source for a thinner and longer fabric to cover my unsightly fats when wearing this printed top. (Printed Top : Shop in Jurong Point/Singlet & Belt : Giordano/Shorts : Shop in Lucky Plaza)

Went to Heeren and discovered that Mooks was having a closing down sale. I was sad coz they did have nice stuff except it was rather pricey. All items in the shop were sold at a certain price. Picked up several items and tried it in the fitting room. Wanna get a translucent dress but was against it coz of the material.

In the end, the items that I had narrowed were a cardigan and a dress. Due to budget constraint, I decided to get the dress instead. The price was reasonable, the print of the dress was tulip and colors were rather retro that made this dress my possession. Not worn it yet. The dress looked like a skirt but it was a toga version.

PS : I need to get hold of my purse strings coz it's slipping through my hands faster than getting hold of them. Argh! Should conserve my money and that should be my modus operandus!

Wings

Since ancient times, everybody is fascinated about the idea of flight. For me, I'm contented to own a pair of wings, too. But it comes in a form of accessories. IMHO, it also means to take flight to move to new stuff and freedom.

Here is my first pair of wings was bought in a shop in Tanjong Pagar. Totally loved the cute eggs with wings. Cant remember how much I paid this for but remembered how much I really liked this pair of earrings.

The second pair of wings left me very broken hearted coz I didnt take care of my accessories properly and was unworn. These were bought in defunct Baleno Attitude store. Hence, it's not replaceable. Argh! It also looked like butterfly. In ancient mythology, the butterfly stands for wisdom and everlasting knowledge.

This is my latest buy of wings and was bought today in Uomo in Paragon. Was having tea with ERM (an ex-classmate of mine). Normally, I wouldnt go into this place coz it's too expensive for my budget. Plus, this store sells male accessories. Some accessories may be too masculine for my liking. The words 'sale' and '70% storewide' were too hard to resist. Of course, I had to go in. After looking some other accessories, I saw the wing and the chain. It blew my mind. The good news was it's on 70% sale and the wing costed at SGD 92 before the sale. Yes, I caved in and bought it together with the chain. The end price of both items was reasonable. Here is my prized possession.

Right now, I'm already thinking of matching my new baby to different outfits.
