I always believe that there are items are meant to be taken at a certain age as I've seen some young things who carry C bags. No jealousy but some people do think that it's fake coz of their age or speculated that they are rich. Well, some people would wanna portray that they are well-to-do and it's none of my business.
All thanks to globalization and commercialization, access to such luxury item is pretty easy especially via the net, 2nd hand shops, flea markets, etc.
Writing this entry proves to be difficult coz I'm touching the raw nerves of the very existence of living a debt-ridden and living beyond one's mean type of society. It's scary coz I dont wanna live in that type of environment and not putting myself on the pedestal .
Of course, I do understand there is a certain status symbol associated with these brands and there are several bags that I'm planning to get when I'm slightly older and more financially stable. If you have the financial means to purchase your desired bags, that will be the most ideal situation. Still, I dont think that these brands define who you are as a person.
In order to meet such demands, many clever business personnel come up with many ideas to attract your money such as rental or pay by instalment. For some, they would rather starve for at least 3 - 6 months to get their desired bags. The saddest part is girls actually prostitute themselves in exchange of these bags. Is it worthwhile?
At the end of the day, a bag has a limited shelf life and it will be spoilt after frequent usage coz that's the only bag. In other cases, there will be another IT bag that comes along that will catch your heart. As for me, I will get these bags when my financial status is stable and using my spare cash to purchase this.
What triggered me to write was when I was looking at some blings. The SA offered some attractive deal and even advised me to take it up on monthly instalments. In this current unstable economic climate, I refused to take it up. Besides, I usually have a budget and make it clear to the SA. After all, this is my money and I neednt 'pretend' that I'm well-to-do even though there is sufficient spare cash.
Perhaps, most traditional brands dont attract me except for a couple and there are too many people who carry the same bags esp the G, C, L, etc. Hence, I'm not too keen as I prefer cult brands instead and there are not necessary less expensive than traditional brands.
