I do miss my time spent in Geneva especially there's 4 seasons unlike SG where summer is the only season. I always find the changing of seasons very magical and interesting. In spring, there'll be cherry blossoms blooming after the harsh winter. Soon, the weather and daylight becomes unbearable in terms of heat and brightness and most of us who wear the thinnest of thin and airy clothes out. When you witness lush greens turning to various shades of gold, brown and amber, it's signalling that fall is here . What a pretty sight! Then it's off the winter cold again. So the color cycle changes according to seasons. Dull and dark colors for both fall and winter and brighter as well as cherry colors for the other two seasons.
The idea of fall is the start of layering which can pose difficulties in execution in terms of SG's humid weather. Guess what's in rage in fashion. It's thigh-high boots! Almost every fashion is doing it such as Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Jean Paul Gaultier, Rodarte, Hermes, Gucci, Bally and Louis Vuitton. Some of these boots are pretty when you see the paper-thin models walking in them.
However, I would give this a miss for a couple of reality reasons. I'm vertically challenged and have thunder thighs to boot (very valid reasons), SG's weather is too humid to trot these around and the last of reasons is the look will be trashy (remember pretty woman) if not executed properly.
Right now, what I can do is ogle and imagine myself in them while walking in the streets of Geneva. Alternatively, may get if the material is not leather but suede instead. Or just simply wear my leggings to pretend that it's fall in SG. So long for now. Need to get my imagination wild. Ciao!
