Memories

This December is painful for me as this is a trying year for me. What made me sad was the lack of funds and the uncertainty of next year.

Last year, I was spending my hols with SL Taipei and Hong Kong. Felt surreal when I reached there. But we were on a shoestring budget coz we were broke and we could spend 4 days in each city only. Was happy coz it was my first trip to these cities.
Enjoyed myself coz the shops closed later and the sales persons' attitude were better as compared to those in SG.
In Taipei, we were staying at Ximending and it's like a city never sleep. We went to cafe where the seats were swings. Thought the ambience was nice. In Hong Kong, we were at Disneyland on Christmas and it was very crowded as we were tired after sleeping late the night before. However, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
Here are some of the Disneyland's pictures taken from last year's trip. Enjoy!

Frustrations 2 - More heartaches

It seemed to be a double whammy today. Somebody's little brother was 'robbed' after a drunken stupor. Everything was gone inclusive of the bag. This tote bag (the one with a tiny torch) was from Porter. (from Japan). Mind you, it wasnt from Porter International (from Taiwan).

I had a similar version but it was from Porter International. This bag carried many sentiments as it was pressie for somebody on this birthday and it was not cheap. It costed me half a thousand and was bought on impulse even though I didnt have enough money at that day.

My heart is broken into a million pieces. Peps may say that it's only a bag. It's not the monetary part but it was priceless in terms of sentiments.

PS : I could feel that the bag is on its way to the incinerator or ebay. I also dun understand why young peps like to 'borrow' their older siblings' stuff just to 'show off' or having to create a certain status even though they maynt have the money to buy. Dun even show any emotion when the item is spoilt(& sheepishly returning it to the original owner / quietly disposed it) or lost. Coz it's simply not their money.

Why is 'face' so important in Asian society?
