Nov 14 - Mark that date down

Ok, what I'll be saying is relatively old news for blog spheres and fashionistas but it gets me all excited coz this designer's 4-inch shoes are every girl's fetish, ecstasy, obsession, dream and aspiration. Yes, I'm part of the statistics, too. These shoes were used as props for 'Sex and The City' and these pairs of shoes should belong to every girl's shoe cabinet.

Sounds like a dream. No, it will soon be a reality to every recessionista. It's a dream come true.

When you thought H&M had collaborated every fashion big name for their limited edition designer collections, they have re-invented themselves once again by announcing its latest partner in crime : Jimmy Choo. (Yes, it's the guy who thinks that ladies look good in 4-inch shoes.) Who doesnt adore Jimmy Choo's shoes and bags? They are glamorous ad sexy as well as adding instant style to the simplest of outfits.

H&M's list of past collaborations include Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf and Matthew Williamson.

The collection of bags, men's and women's shoes is to debut Nov 14 in about 200 stores worldwide. This is the first time that H&M is collaborating with an accessories brand and Jimmy Choo is also creating some women's garments to complement the accessories. This will also means that this brand will be more accessible for the average Jane like me. I'll be able to fork out lesser moolah as compared to the regular prices to own his pretty and glamorous shoes.

"We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night," quoted from Tamara Mellon, the founder and president of Jimmy Choo.

Now, there are no news that H&M will open a store as yet though there were rumors. (According to some sources, they may set up a store in a new shopping mall located in the most of Orchard action ~ there's still no confirmation as yet. Need to keep my fingers crossed.) Yes, we could get some H&M products through these retailers who brought these back. Well, they knew that there's a demand for these products and the moolah that we spent on these. Still, there's no physical store here right now. The sad part is the nearest H&M at this moment will be in HK and I do need to take a flight to reach there by Nov 13 morning (if there's no store in SG by then) to anticipate the long queues of females on the day of launch.

To H&M : Please think of SG as another Asian or ASEAN market as there is a sizable demand in this part of the world besides the major shopping destinations in JP, HK, CN. FYI : A Japanese clothing giant who is well-known for its quality as well as affordable prices has entered our shores already.
